The 1962 Braun TC 20 was essentially the "Lite" version of the groundbreaking Audio 1. By trimming the power to 8 W and the price by 455 DM, Braun created a hybrid system that felt at home whether it was being moved around or kept as a stationary centerpiece. It enjoyed a solid six-year run before the high-fidelity arms race of the late '60s—led by the likes of the PS 500—rendered its specs obsolete.
