Originally designed by Dieter Rams for Braun, the vintage L2 speaker is a design icon that now commands upwards of $10,000 per pair. The L2 Reference honors this heritage by making the classic aesthetic accessible once again, updating the build with a modern aluminum frame. At its core sits a 12-cell horn, a nod to the legendary acoustic engineering of the Altec 1005b multi-cell horns.

Materials: 0.125” Aluminum walls, ABS horn, Plywood

It comes in 2 variants: 4.7" driver and 6.5" driver. Use the larger driver variant for increased bass.

Speakers are made by cabinet craftsmen in Brooklyn, New York.

  • HAND-BRUSHED ALUMINUM

    Every speaker is hand brushed and rubbed with protective nano ceramic coating. This gives the speaker an enduring finish that is also serviceable for life.

  • CUSTOM WOOD FINISH

    Default finished in a non-VOC Affogato brown, lighter and darker finishes are also possible.
